Thank you to all of our volunteers who so faithfully gave of their time and talents in 2009! God truly blessed our establishment and its supporters during our first year at the new location. Our profits increased 94.6% in just one year’s time.
We have 23 departments in our store that comprise our gross sales number. Our furniture department (new, used and as-is) accounted for 23.46% of our sales. Women’s Clothing (10.04%), Boutique Clothing (9.35%) and House wares (8.56%) were the next highest performing departments. Our N’s in 9 department accounted for 6.85% of the sales. This is a new department compiled of cleaning products, health and beauty, seasonal, home and personal items, unique giftware and so much more. We did not have the floor space at our old store and have been very pleased with its strong sales. To every volunteer that works hard to perfect their department “We Applaud Your Efforts.”
Let’s talk furniture. Looking for a sofa set? Look no further! We have “As Is” pieces with slight flaws as well as our “New” Rosehill brand manufactured in Mississippi. These pieces are hand selected and priced fairly. Please stop and shop before you visit the larger stores.
Our “School Donation Pick-up” program will resume after Spring Break. Watch your home news for the dates scheduled for your school. The new program was a huge success in the fall and we look forward to restarting it in the spring. We hope it helped some of our families that find it a challenge getting their donations to our store.
In closing…each of us has been blessed with a variety of gifts that should be used to praise Him. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. I Peter 4:11.
